John McAlpine
Monticello Manager & President of Kingwood
John graduated from the University of Arkansas at Monticello with a Bachelor of Science in Forestry in 1998 and directly joined the Kingwood staff. John gained valuable forestry experience working through his youth for his father Harold, a forestry consultant and owner of the McAlpine Christmas Tree Farm in Bismarck, Arkansas.
John is one of two principal owners of Kingwood, serves as the President of Kingwood and is a member of the Board of Directors. John is Principal Broker for Kingwood in Arkansas and Louisiana. He is a Registered Forester in Arkansas and Mississippi, a State Certified General Appraiser in Arkansas, Louisiana, Texas, and Missouri.
John earned his MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute in 2019. John also serves on the local Conservation District Board and on the Forestry Resource Policy Group for the National Association. John is a member of the Arkansas Forestry Association, Association of Consulting Foresters, and the Society of American Foresters.
