National Forest Products Week 2020

On September 13, 1960, the United States Congress issued a joint proclamation designating the week beginning on the third Sunday in October as National Forest Products Week. President Dwight D. Eisenhower signed the proclamation on September 15, 1960. Since then, each sitting president has proclaimed the week. For 2020 that week is October 18-24.

National Forest Products Week is a time to celebrate the many things we get from our forests. It is during this time of year that the forest production cycle renews, with the start of planting season. After the trees have been harvested and the site preparations have been made, it is time to begin again with the new life of seedling trees. This is an important process that allows us as consumers to continue to enjoy the products produced from trees. Forest management services is an integral part of the process of protecting our environment and allowing us to have the things we need in our everyday life.

Thank you to our clients that invest in their land to give back. Thank you to our Foresters that manage these lands and continue their educations yearly to stay up to date on the latest technology and scientific innovations to get the most out of the land and produce the best quality trees. Thank you to the manufacturers that produce the products that we use daily.

Happy National Forest Products Week!
