John McAlpinePosition: Monticello Manager & President of Kingwood John gained valuable forestry experience working through his youth for his father Harold, a forestry consultant and owner of the McAlpine Christmas Tree Farm in Bismarck, Arkansas. John graduated from the University of Arkansas at Monticello with a Bachelor’s of Science in Forestry in May, 1998 and directly joined the Kingwood staff. John is now the Manager of Monticello operations and is President of Kingwood Forestry and a member of the Board of Directors. John is a Registered Forester in Arkansas and Mississippi, a Real Estate Broker in Arkansas and Louisiana, and a State Certified General Appraiser in Arkansas, Louisiana, Texas, and Missouri. John earned his MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute in 2019. John also serves on the local Conservation District Board and on the Forestry Resource Policy Group for the National Association. John is an active member of the Arkansas Forestry Association, Association of Consulting Foresters, and the Society of American Foresters. |

John "J" KingPosition: Forester John “J” King joined the Kingwood Monticello office in November 2019. J graduated from the University of Tennessee in 1985 with a Bachelor of Science in Forest Research Management. Before joining the Kingwood family, he was with Interfor as a lead procurement forester. Prior to that, J worked for Campbell Global, LLC for 10 years as an Area Manager. J brings with him over 30 years of experience and knowledge in the forestry industry. J is a registered Forester in Arkansas and Alabama. |

David DickPosition: Forester David Dick joined the Kingwood Forestry Services, Inc. team in Monticello, AR in 2022 as a Forester. He hails from St. Louis, Missouri and has a deep love for God, people, and the land. He earned a BS in Forestry from the University of Missouri – Columbia in 2017 and a MS in Forestry from North Carolina State University in 2021. David is a Registered Forester in Arkansas, commercial drone pilot, and real estate agent. David is an active member of his church and enjoys community service, camping, backpacking, geocaching, reading, and listening to podcasts.

Annette WatsonPosition: Residential Appraiser Annette joined Kingwood Forestry in 1994. She has worked in many areas of Kingwood, from the aerial photography department to a key team member of Kingwood's Monticello office in the administrative responsibilities for land management and professional services. In October of 2012 Kingwood started a new company, KFS Appraisal Services, offering residential appraisals. This is Annette’s primary responsibility. Annette is an Arkansas State Registered Appraiser and an Arkansas Real Estate Salesperson. |

Rusty HardinPosition: Forest Technician Rusty Hardin joined the Monticello staff in 2012 as a full time forestry Technician. Rusty brings over 30 years of forestry experience including contract work for Molpus Timberlands, procurement, land acquisition, and management for Anthony Forest Products, and a variety of forestry work for Stone Container and Georgia Pacific. Rusty stays hard at work cruising timber, preparing timber sales, and inspecting harvest operations to serve our clients. |

Brad BurchfieldPosition: Forestry Technician Brad joined Kingwood in October 2019 as a forestry technician. Brad came to Kingwood after 23 years at Georgia Pacific, with his last 8 years there spent as a heavy equipment operator. Brad has three degrees from the University of Arkansas College of Technology at Crossett; ENI Electrical and Instrumentation, Mechanical and Electrical with an emphasis in Mechanical, and Industrial Equipment-General Mechanic. Brad brings years of industry experience to Kingwood along with his personal knowledge from being an avid outdoors man. His responsibilities include setting up timber sales, cruising, and checking logging jobs. |
Amanda PickensPosition: Office Manager/Bookkeeper Amanda is a native of Pearl, Mississippi, but has called Monticello, Arkansas home since June of 2002. She joined Kingwood Monticello in April 2019 as the Office Manager/Bookkeeper. She is a graduate of the University of Arkansas at Monticello with a Bachelor of Business Administration, with a concentration in Marketing. She has worked in an administrative capacity for over 18 years. Her duties include bookkeeping, human resources, customer service, office management, as well as, providing administrative support to the other professional staff in the Monticello office. |

Cassie KnightPosition: Administrative Assistant Cassie is a recent graduate of the University of Arkansas at Monticello with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. She brings business management experience from operating her own business. She joined the Kingwood Monticello staff in August of 2019 as an administrative assistant. Her duties include preparing contracts, managing transactions, generating reports, and providing administrative support to the professional staff in the Monticello office.

Jim FosterPosition: Retired Now Retired, Jim is co-founder of Kingwood Forestry Services. Jim graduated from the University of Missouri with a Bachelors of Science in Forestry in 1964, after which he conducted graduate studies at Iowa State University. Jim served as an officer in the United States Navy from 1966 to 1969. After that, Jim joined Potlatch Corporation as a Block Forester and White River Operations Forester in Arkansas. He became a consulting forester in 1973 and co-founded Kingwood Forestry in 1983. Jim is a member of the Association of Consulting Foresters, Society of American Foresters, and Arkansas Forestry Association. Jim was an Arkansas State Certified General Appraiser and served as a member of Appraiser Licensing & Certification Board. Jim was a licensed Real Estate Broker in Arkansas & Louisiana, and a past member of the Arkansas Board of Registration for Foresters. Jim continues to participate in Kingwood Forestry Services operating in an advisory capacity. |
